One cookie, for your theme. No trackers, which is why there is no banner.

The short version
This site sets one cookie, and it is not a tracking cookie. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share data with ad networks. That is why you have not been shown a consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.
The cookie we set
bits-theme — remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site. It holds one of two values and nothing else, lasts one year, and is set only when you use the theme toggle. It is a strictly necessary preference cookie under both the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 and the EU ePrivacy rules, which is why it does not require consent.
What we use instead of tracking
Our analytics is cookie-free and does not identify individuals: it counts page views and referrers in aggregate and builds no profile, sets no identifier and follows nobody between sites.
If you fill in a form, we store what you typed — that is covered in the privacy notice rather than here, because it is not a cookie.
Third-party embeds
Two features load content from elsewhere and may set their own cookies, but only when you actually use them: the booking calendar on the contact page, and the bot-protection widget on our forms. Neither runs unless you reach that part of the page.
Removing it
Clearing site data for this domain in your browser removes the theme cookie. The site will then follow your system's light or dark preference until you choose again.
